GOJELLE: A Guide to Extending their Wear

THE HAIRDRYER METHOD

If you have never heard of it, The hairdryer method is a popular technique used to help press on nails adhere more securely and last longer. Here's how it works:

1. Prepare Your Nails & Choose Your Press On Nails: Start by cleansing your nail with your Gojelle Alcohol Prep ensuring that your natural nails are clean and free from any oils or residues. Size up the appropriate size of press ons for each of your natural nails. Lay them out in the order you'll be applying them.

2. Apply Adhesive Tabs: Finger by finger, measure up your adhesive tab and apply to your natural nail, hold it down for 30 seconds before removing the protective film.

3. Heat with a Hairdryer: This is where the hairdryer comes in. Turn on your hairdryer to a low or medium heat setting. Hold the hairdryer about 10-15cm away from your nails and gently heat the press on nail for 5-10 seconds. Heating the adhesive slightly helps to soften it and create a stronger bond with your natural nail.

4. Press and Hold: Quickly, but carefully, place the press on nail onto your natural nail, starting from the cuticle and pressing down towards the tip. Apply firm pressure for 30 seconds to ensure a secure the bond. Repeat this process for each nail.

5. Final Touches: If there are any rough edges, you can gently file them to smooth them out using the file side of your Gojelle 2in1 Buffer and File.

DON'T WET YOUR HANDS

After applying your Gojelles, it's crucial to refrain from exposing them to water or excessive moisture for at least two hours. This period allows the adhesive to fully cure and establish a strong bond between your Gojelles and your natural nails. Wetting or washing your hands prematurely could compromise the adhesion process, leading to potential lifting or premature wear of your beautiful manicure. So, resist the urge to dive into household chores or activities involving water immediately after application, and instead, take this time to relax and allow your nails to set firmly for long lasting wear.

THE SANDWICH METHOD 

If you're after an even longer dealing with bumpy or highly curved apex nail beds, achieving a secure and long lasting adhesion for your Gojelles can be a bit more challenging. However, employing both adhesive tabs and nail glue can provide a reliable solution to this issue.

Here's how:

1. Prepare Your Nails & Choose Your Press On Nails: Start by cleansing your nail with your Gojelle Alcohol Prep ensuring that your natural nails are clean and free from any oils or residues. Size up the appropriate size of press ons for each of your natural nails. Lay them out in the order you'll be applying them.

2. Apply Nail Glue: Apply a small amount of nail glue directly onto your natural nail. Focus on the areas where your nail bed curves or has bumps, as these areas may require extra reinforcement.

3. Apply Adhesive Tabs: Quickly but carefully, apply your pre-measured adhesive tab to your natural nail, hold it down for 30 seconds before removing the protective film.

4. Apply Nail Glue: Apply another layer of nail glue.

5. Press and Hold: Quickly and carefully, position the press on nail onto your natural nail, starting from the cuticle and pressing down towards the tip. Apply firm pressure for 30 seconds to ensure a secure bond.

6. Final Touches: If there are any rough edges, you can gently file them to smooth them out using the file side of your Gojelle 2in1 Buffer and File.
