Lifting, Peeling, Chipping... what to do!

PEELING
If you notice your gel polish lifting, revealing air gaps underneath the nail or peeling off, consider the below reasons:
1-Gel XL:Make sure you are applying2in1 Base Coat & Extension Gel Adhesiveunderneath (or 1 coat of your One Step Gel colour) and ensure you are applying 1-2 THIN coats.
2-Oily nails:Your nails are oily and you have not dried them out enough. Ensure you are buffing enough, applyingDehydratorand/orStrong Hold Bond.
3-Too thick:You are applying the gel too thick causing air bubbles to get trapped under the gel which causes it to lift (especially with Gel XL).
CHIPPING
If you notice your gel is chipping it is likely due to one of the following reasons:
1-Oily nails:You nails are oily and the gel is not able to adhere properly. Ensure you are evenly buffing your nails and try applying aDehydratorand/orStrong Hold bond.
2-Weak nails: Gel will chip easier on weaker nails. We recommend using cuticle oil daily to strengthen your nails and/or using Builder Gel XL to create a stronger nail foundation.
3-Uneven coats:Ensure all coats are even and uniform and that no areas are thicker than others.
4-Capping the free edge:If chipping is happening at the top of the nail, ensure you are capping the free edge.
5-Too thick: If you are applying the gel too thick the coats may not have cured fully causing them to chip.
